Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is a CSA, and how does it work?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you join one of our CSAs, you’re pre-purchasing a subscription of farm-fresh products. Each week, you’ll receive a curated box with an assortment of items that differ week to week with some repeated items.

2. What’s included in each weekly produce box?

Each week you’ll get:

• 6-12 seasonal items picked fresh for you.

• Depends on the season: tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, greens, root veggies, microgreens, mushrooms, fruit, herbs, etc.

You’ll also receive a recipes and pairings to help you prepare your box contents with confidence and creativity.

3. What’s included in each weekly pork box?
Each week you’ll get:
• One breakfast meat ( bacon or sausage, rotating weekly)
• One or two dinner meats (e.g., pork chops, roasts, ribs, ground pork, or specialty cuts)
You’ll also receive a recipe to help you prepare your box contents with confidence and creativity.

4. How much does it cost?

Produce CSA:

• For 2–3 people: $30/week ($180 total)

• For 4–6 people: $55/week ($330 total)

Each box offers more value than retail, with subscribers receiving $400–$1,000 worth of produce over the course of the CSA.

Pork CSA:

• For 2–3 people: $35/week ($420 total)
• For 4–6 people: $65/week ($780 total)
Each box offers more value than retail, with subscribers receiving $450–$1,000 worth of pork over the course of the CSA.

4. Do I have to pay all at once?
Yes, we require full payment upfront. This allows us to plan efficiently, prioritize CSA members, and offer you the best selection and service throughout the season.

5. What’s the benefit of joining versus buying at the farmers market?
CSA members get first pick and guaranteed items that often sell out at market like bacon, green beans, strawberries, etc, even when it’s gone at our booth. Plus, you’ll never have to rush to market or miss out again.

6. Can I add eggs or raw milk to my CSA box?
Yes! We offer exclusive add-ons like farm-fresh eggs and raw milk only for Pork CSA subscribers. These are especially helpful for customers who often miss out due to early sellouts at the market.

7. What if I’m not familiar with some of the produce or cuts of meat?
Don’t worry! We include a weekly recipe(s) designed around your box contents, perfect for busy families, confident cooks, or beginners wanting to explore.

8. How and where do I pick up my box?
Pick-up will be available each week at one of three locations: The BridgeMill Farmers Market on Wednesdays, Riggin Farm on Fridays, and the Jasper Farmers Market on Saturdays. We’ll communicate pick-up instructions clearly in advance, and you can reach out to us at least 2 days prior to your normal pickup location with any changes or to hold your order for a week.

9. Is your pork really pasture-raised and soy-free?
Yes! Our pigs are raised outdoors on pasture  and fed a completely soy-free diet. This makes the meat healthier, cleaner, and better for people, especially women and children sensitive to dietary estrogens.

10. Why is regenerative farming important?
Our regenerative approach restores soil health, increases biodiversity, and sequesters carbon, helping reverse climate change and grow more nutrient-dense food. When you join our CSA, you're not just feeding your family, you’re investing in a better food future.

11. What happens if there's a shortage or something goes wrong with a CSA item?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, and being part of a CSA means sharing in the real-life ups and downs of seasonal, small-scale farming. While we plan carefully and raise extra inventory to fulfill every week’s box, nature sometimes has other plans: weather, equipment issues, or animal health can occasionally impact availability. If we ever experience a shortfall on a particular item, we’ll communicate transparently and do our best to substitute with something of equal or greater value. In rare cases where a full substitution isn’t possible, we may offer extra items in future boxes or a partial refund or credit. Our goal is to make things right while keeping your trust. By joining our CSA, you’re not just buying food, you’re supporting a farm family that works hard every day to raise your food with integrity.

12. Why don't you offer a beef CSA?

We’re planning to! Our Beef CSA is scheduled to launch in Summer 2026. Right now, we’re focused on doing two CSAs exceptionally well by offering chemical-free & nutritious produce and high-quality, pasture-raised pork. By growing gradually and intentionally, we can ensure each CSA is dependable, sustainable, and worth your trust. Stay tuned! When our beef current CSA members will get early access and priority enrollment.
