About the event

Join us at Riggin Farm to learn all the steps to successfully take a chicken that you've raised and transform it into a meal for you and your family. This workshop will be taught by Nick Riggin, Seattle Culinary Academy graduate with 4 years experience of professional butchering experience. His lovely assistant, Ashley Riggin, has on-farm experience processing many birds and will provide additional help during the afternoon.


We will meet in the classroom for an introduction and short presentation before getting to see the entire process from start to finish. You'll be allowed to ask questions throughout the demonstration. Afterwards you will have the option to pick out a chicken from our pasture  and then dispatch, scald, pluck, process, and shrink wrap it to take home for a farm-fresh meal!
